The Rapid Recovery Unit® is developed using RGF’s PHI-CELL® technology. This process, using UV light on a quadrimetallic target to produce an advanced oxidation plasma, leads to the creation of hydroperoxides, hydroxides and superoxide ions. These totally safe, natural oxidants destroy microbes and reduce unpleasant odours and gases. After making contact with and destroying undesirable pathogens, these oxidants revert to oxygen and hydrogen.
The RRU comes with an internal fan and a media filter to absorb odors. By reducing coarse particles, it improves system speed and efficiency. But it’s not the filters that are most used to eliminate odors and pathogens, it’s the advanced oxidizers that actively treat the air outside the unit.

Options
The RRU-16-DS is the same as the RRU, but with an additional duct cleaning option. This unit features a flexible hose on the end cap that you can attach to the return air vent for easy duct cleaning. In this way, hydroperoxide molecules can spread throughout the HVAC system to reduce pathogens and odors. In 30 minutes, you can clean the ducts of a medium-sized house!
